The Bruins will have another addition at the quarterback
position after Louisville’s Eddie Miller announced his
intention to transfer to UCLA, according to the Daily News.
The former Venice High star will be forced to sit out the 2004
season, due to NCAA eligibility and transfer rules, but will walk
on to the team for spring ball, which starts April 7th.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Miller, threw for 7,423 yards and 72
touchdowns while completing 70 percent of his passes in two seasons
as a starter at Venice. But at Louisville, Miller was relegated to
running the scout team and was unlikely to see much playing time
after the Cardinals secured highly recruited quarterback Brian
Brohm.
Now, Miller will return to Los Angeles and work for a
scholarship next year.

TAYLOR TO SIT: Wide receiver Junior Taylor will
undergo surgery for a hernia and will be forced to sit out of
spring practices. He is expected to be ready for the 2004
season.
Â
NORTHWARD BOUND: Former UCLA wide receiver Tab
Perry will play his final collegiate season at Montana, The Montana
Missoulian reported Sunday.
Perry, who played three years at UCLA before sitting out the
2003 season for academic reasons, is currently enrolled at San Jose
State. He will join Montana in August.
Perry told the Missoulian that he considered entering the NFL
Draft, but decided against it.
