Petty Theft
Over the past week, five bikes were stolen on campus.
On June 1, a wallet was stolen at the John Wooden Center
basketball courts.
On May 30, someone took a backpack from Ackerman Union with
contents worth $535.
On May 27, a license plate was taken from a car parked on the
600 block of Landfair Avenue.
Grand Theft
On May 31, someone smashed the passenger side window of a silver
1998 Acura Integra and stole CDs, cologne, a cell phone earpiece
and money. The total loss was $1,595.
On May 29, a wallet with $700 was stolen in the Public Policy
building.
On May 24, the passenger-side door lock of a blue 1986 Toyota
Camry was forced open at parking Lot 2. The stereo and car cover
were taken from the car. The loss came to $450.
Miscellaneous
On the night of May 31, six people attempted to break into
Tropix in Ackerman using a screwdriver.
On the night of May 30, 16 calls to 911 were made from Drake
stadium, and one was made again the following day. The first call
reportedly sounded like juveniles playing, with no signs of
trouble.
On May 29, a bomb threat at Murdock Plaza in the Wilshire Center
caused LAPD to clear the building, and traffic was held up.
On May 29, someone used a launching device on the 400 block of
Landfair Avenue to throw apples and oranges.
Also that day, a woman in a wheelchair was noted to be weaving
in and out of traffic within the Center for Health sciences parking
lot.
That same morning, a man reportedly was masturbating inside his
black, Honda Accord parked on the 600 block of Hilgard Avenue.
On May 28, someone forged a faculty member’s letter of
resignation.
