Petty Theft
On May 20 a woman’s 24-speed mountain bike valued at $300
was removed from the School of Dentistry bike rack.
Later that day a cell phone worth $80 was taken from a table in
Lu Valle Commons.
Between May 19 and 20 a $60 CD player was stolen from the Santa
Monica Hospital communications room.
On May 19 a microwave valued at $50 was stolen from an apartment
on the 700 block of Gayley.
That evening a cloth bag filled with $325 was removed from the
Center for Health Sciences emergency room.
Also that day a wallet containing $140, a BruinCard and credit
cards was taken from an Evergreen dorm room.
On May 16 a purse containing $85 was taken from the Phi Kappa
Psi house.
Grand Theft
Four laptops were reported stolen during this period.
On May 20 rings worth a total of $1,000 were taken from Royce
Hall.
Between May 19 and 20 an $800 dental loop was stolen from the
third floor of the School of Dentistry.
On May 16 the back seats of a 2002 red Chevy Tahoe were stolen
along with a parking permit and an access card on the third level
of parking structure six. The loss was estimated at $3,000.
Miscellaneous
On May 21 threatening phone calls were made to the Intensive
Care Unit of the Center for Health Sciences.
Early that morning a completely nude man masturbated on a porch
in the 700 block of Hilgard.
Also that day a student was arrested at Dogwood for fleeing a
taxi without paying his fare. He was carrying his BruinCard and a
knife.
That night the side view mirrors of a 2001 gray Toyota Avalon
were damaged.
Also on May 21 three bags of merchandise were taken from
Ackerman store without being paid for.
On May 20 a suspicious package on the second floor of the Marion
Davis Child Clinic turned out to only be dry ice.
Early that morning three men fought outside the police station
but it was noted as only horseplay.
Later that day the right side of a silver 1989 Oldsmobile was
damaged in the Sunset Village level three parking.
On May 19 an individual was found bathing in the west side
men’s room of the first floor in Schoenberg Music Hall.
That morning two men were reportedly seen shaking a car and
trying to enter it in parking structure two, level five.
