travails as a gay man living with AIDS. A Q&A after the
screening will be held with Bordowitz and Miwon Kwon, a UCLA
professor of contemporary art history.

Director Todd Haynes chose “Midnight Cowboy” as a
part of the “Movie That Inspired Me” series. After the
screening, Haynes will discuss the film’s significance to his
work with director Curtis Hanson.

Sunday launches a new play reading series celebrating the voices
and experiences of women. This week, the plays will be “Snow
Angels,” which follows two Catholic schoolgirls and
“Haha Gogoko” a comedic story about a Japanese mother
