A laptop valued at $1,200 was reported missing on Feb.
6Â from Dykstra Hall.
Later that day a backpack was stolen from the John Wooden Center
worth $665.
A staff member at Campbell Hall reported a computer
monitor missing on Feb. 7. The monitor was valued at $500.
A suspect created an Amazon.com account from a victim’s
credit card number and went on a shopping spree. Goods charged
totaled $500.
Petty Theft
In Venice on Feb. 5 a suspect smashed the window of a Toyota
Camry, stole 12 CDs, and created $650 worth of property damage.
A cell phone was reported missing on Feb. 5 from Haines
Hall.Â
Also that day a suspect smashed window of a Mazda Protegé
and stole the owner’s books, purse and jacket.
The same day university keys were reported missing from Knudsen
Hall. Monetary loss is unknown.
Miscellaneous
On Feb. 5 a suspect smashed the window of a Mazda car,
causing property damage valued at $500.
Later that same day, police were summoned to ask a visitor to
leave the Center for Health Sciences premises.
On Feb. 6, a CHS staff member reported a white powdery substance
on a U.S. bill left near her car in the CHS parking structure.
A paying customer at the CHS cafeteria was told by the campus
police to wear shoes after receiving complaints on Feb.7.
On the same day, a strong marijuana smell was reportedly coming
from Hedrick Hall. A resident assistant was sent to
investigate.
