Petty theft One backpack, one parking access
card, two cellular phones, one parking pass and one wallet were
stolen during this period, totaling a loss of $558.65. Someone
stole a men’s mountain bike from the Neuropsychiatric
Institute bicycle rack Friday. A $300 bike was stolen from a garage
on the 31,000 block of Sawtelle Boulevard Wednesday. Someone
removed a radio from a white 1995 Ford Escort parked in a garage on
the 11,000 block of Venice Boulevard Thursday. Another CD player
and 20 CDs were stolen from a different car parked in the same
garage that same day. An unknown suspect removed a calculator and a
wallet from a room on the fifth floor of Hedrick Hall on Wednesday
or Thursday. The losses totaled $100. Someone grabbed a $150 ring
off another person’s finger at the Center for Health Sciences
on Jan. 15. A wallet and a set of university keys were stolen from
someone’s briefcase at the Center for Health Sciences on Jan.
15. Losses totaled $210. Someone stole a red and blue mountain bike
from the Hedrick Hall bicycle rack on Jan. 11. Someone stole $79
from the Reed Neurological Research Center on Jan. 9. Six days
later, $40 in cash was stolen from the same center.

Grand theft A $550 stereo from a vehicle parked
in Lot 30, was stolen Thursday.

Miscellaneous University police received a call
Friday from the Los Angeles Police Department that a suspect in
Maloney’s was brandishing a weapon. The suspect was gone when
police arrived. The rear window of a vehicle parked on the 500
block of Landfair Avenue was smashed Friday. That same day, police
received a call that a man had stayed in the second stall of a
Royce Hall bathroom for more than two hours.
