Petty theft Someone stole a cell phone and
purse, worth a total of $250, from Hedrick Dining Hall. BruinCards
were lifted from unattended bags at the Sproul Hall turnaround.

Grand theft Someone stole a backpack and its
contents, worth a total $445, from Pauley Pavilion on Sept. 23. On
the same day, someone stole a $960 digital camera from Ackerman
Union. A wedding band, wallet, Palm Pilot, and cell phone were
stolen from 200 Medical Plaza. These thefts amounted to a total
loss of $13,025. Someone stole a wallet and laptop computer, worth
a total $1,118, from the 600 block of Gayley Avenue.

Lost property A UC police badge was lost at the
Rose Bowl during UCLA’s victory over Ohio State University on
Sept. 22.

Vandalism Reports of vandalism include an
unknown suspect breaking the rear window of a police car with a
bottle on Sept. 23 and another person shooting 12 windows with a
pellet gun that same day.

Suspicious activity Police have received 26
reports since Sept. 23 of suspicious activity, including an account
of someone sawing a bicycle lock at a bus stop north of the
intersection of Westwood Boulevard and Strathmore Avenue. Another
report details a man standing next to a pick-up truck full of dirt
for approximately two hours.

Disturbing the peace Police have received 17
reports since Sept. 23 of people disturbing the peace. This
included bottles being thrown on the 600 block of Gayley Avenue on
Sept. 23 and someone on a bicycle verbally harassing people.

Miscellaneous Police received a second-hand
report Sept. 28 of someone posing as a police officer and taking
another subject into custody. A subject posed as another patient
and fraudulently received a medicine refill.
