Crime Watch

Petty theft Four car stereos, three backpacks,
three cellular phones, three wallets, and three parking permits
were stolen during this period, amounting to a total loss of
$1,087. Someone stole a $320 bike from The Anderson School at UCLA
on Thursday.

Grand theft Someone stole a green 1981 Cadillac
El Dorado from the Medical Center parking lot Sunday. Someone stole
a white Toyota Prius from the Kiosk 3 parking lot Saturday. Earlier
that day, a red 1989 Volkswagen Fox was stolen from the Center for
Health Sciences lot. That same day, a $3,200 bike was stolen from
the Neuropsychiatric Institute. Someone stole a dark blue 2001
Subaru Wagon from the emergency room parking lot Friday. Also that
day, a white 1991 Toyota Camry was stolen from the Sunset Village
lot, and a dark blue 1999 Mercedes 420 was stolen from Lot 1.
Someone stole a backpack from the Kerckhoff Coffee House on Friday,
with a total loss of $525. Also, a $4,000 laptop computer was
stolen from The Anderson School and a X-ray field service set worth
$11,200 was stolen from the Center for Health Sciences. On
Thursday, someone stole an $885 ring from Hedrick Hall. Also,
someone stole a set of checks and a credit card from the Center for
Health Sciences Nursing Station, amounting a total loss of $982.
Someone removed the side mirrors from a gray 1998 BMW 323is
Thursday, amounting to a loss of $600. On Wednesday, someone
removed the rear view mirrors from a silver 1991 BMW M3, causing
$1,000 in damage. That same day a green 1999 Nissan Maxima and a
gold 1986 Chrysler were stolen from the Center for Health Sciences
and Jules Stein Eye Institute lots, respectively. Someone stole
$411 worth of books from the Lu Valle Commons bookstore and sold
them at the Ackerman store on Feb. 27.

Miscellaneous Saturday, two men jumped out of a
cab without paying their fare on the 400 block of Gayley Avenue. On
Thursday, a man was reportedly grunting and acting strangely in
Dickson Art Library. A patient in the Neuropsychiatric Institute
Nursing Ward attacked another patient on Wednesday. That same day,
a woman at the Center for Health Sciences approached a man and
struck him in the head.
