Circle Drive North is closed from De Neve Drive to Westwood
Plaza for the LA Department of Water and Power water main
relocation work. The closure is expected to end Thursday. Parts of
Bruin Walk, the Intramural Field and in front of Ackerman Union
remain blocked off due to the water main relocation. Pedestrians
are detoured from Bruin Walk around the south side of the Morgan
Center. The demolition of Towell Library continues, with large
trucks and equipment entering and leaving the site. There is
congestion on adjacent walkways as well as in Westwood Plaza.
Construction continues at the Bradley International Student Center
and the Brain Mapping building. Trucks entering and leaving the
sites along Circle Drive may cause minor traffic congestion. The
two north bound lanes in Westwood Plaza remain open during the
construction of the Gonda (Goldschmied) Neuroscience and Genetic
Research Center. Delivery of construction materials continues at
the Science and Technology Research Building causing some periodic
traffic congestion along Midvale Alley. Construction material
deliveries to the Law Library may cause some periodic traffic
congestion on Circle Drive East. Compiled from UCLA Capital
Programs Design and Construction Report.
