By Todd Sargent
We have a serious squirrel problem on this campus. As a proud
member of the Spring Sing ’96 company (the people who did funny
skits between acts) I helped write one skit about this particular
campus problem.
Apparently some members of the UCLA community are very
pro-squirrel and didn’t like this skit. I said, after having been
bitten by the squirrel in the skit (and you know that happens!)
that my leg was healed and I’m ready to fight back.
I invited the crowd to come after the show to help as united
students can take the campus back from the little demons who seem
to rule here  the squirrels.
I’m not surprised that, in this hyper sensitive environment,
some people read into the song. As far as I am concerned, it had
nothing to do with USAC.
Have we lost our sense of humor altogether?
