A&E’s 2nd Annual
Bruin Choice
Nomination Ballot
The nominations are in. No Reba. No Lion King. No Gump sweep
even possible. The Bruin Choice Awards nominations salute the best
of this academic year’s film, television and music.
Through a campus-wide vote, we hope to select the deserving
winners and losers of the entertainment world.
Tradition
How important are the Bruin Choice Awards? Ask Harrison Ford,
winner of last year’s Coolest Male Alive race, who was given roles
in the Star Wars and Indiana Jones trilogies. Ask Sandra Bullock,
winner of last year’s Most Squandered Female Action Role for her
few scenes in Demolition Man, who got back at Bruin voters by
succeeding in Speed. And ask David Letterman’s mother, who was
happy to win last year’s Kindest Person on the Planet Award.
Directions
Choose who you think are the most deserving recipients. Write-in
choices are encouraged (some of last year’s write-in candidates
almost won).
Incentive
Prizes will be awarded to randomly selected voters. Prizes
include free video rentals from Extravaganza Video, free choice of
CDs and free meals from participating merchants.
Regulations
Turn in ballots to the Daily Bruin office at 225 Kerckhoff Hall
or at participating on-campus housing locations by Friday, May 12.
Don’t forget to write your name at the end of the ballot if you’re
interested in winning.
Your Mission
Vote soon and vote often. Explain your votes. Make your friends
vote. Make your enemies vote. But whatever you do, don’t let
Trojans vote.
